Right to Life of Midland County is a pro-life group of volunteers. We provide ample opportunities for you to get involved in the key issues of abortion, stem cell research, cloning, euthanasia, and infanticide.

Here’s a comprehensive list of activities and events with volunteer opportunities ranging from attending monthly meetings to coordinating events, to lobbying politicians, to fundraising, and many more.

Monthly Meetings: All monthly meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the New Life Vineyard Church. Everyone is welcome!

Fall and Winter Opportunities

Precious Baby Contest: Right to Life of Midland County wants to showcase all those precious babies! Do you have a little one newborn to 2 years old? Each August you can send their picture to the Midland County Fair Booth Precious Baby Contest. There is no entry fee, and the winners are chosen by the people who visit our booth. Meijer gift cards will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Download the entry form and instructions here.

Focus on Life Dinner: Held in the fall, this dinner features a speaker on some aspect of the pro-life movement.

Life Chain: Sponsor and help promote this prayer chain held the first Sunday of October. Participants pick up pre-printed signs at the parking lot across from the Speedway at Jefferson and Saginaw Roads, and stand along Saginaw Road for an hour in silent prayer.

March For Life 2023: Right to Life of Midland County will have their annual March for life, Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm meeting off Main Street in front of the County Courthouse downtown. This commemorates the 50th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision, which has led to the death of more than 60 million unborn children since 1973. We will have a prayer and then the march for a few blocks meeting then at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church for refreshments and hear the speakers. All are welcome to attend this prayerful event.

Spring and Summer Opportunities

High School Oratorical Contest: This is an opportunity each spring for local high school students to win cash prizes while learning and teaching about the dangers of abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, and human cloning.

Youth 4 Life Rally: Stay tuned.

Adopt-A-Highway Clean-Up: We have adopted a 2 mile stretch of highway on M-20 from Meridian Road to 8 Mile Road. Cleanups are scheduled once in the spring and once in the fall.

Baby Shower: We organize a baby shower in the spring to help moms who are currently expecting and to raise money and donations for our local pregnancy care centers.

Memorial Day Parade: A float is entered to thank our veterans for fighting for our lives and freedom while educating that the unborn is a human life.

Midland County Fair: Our biggest outreach opportunity to educate people who may not be aware of the dangers of abortion. All literature is made available free of charge.
